Ultraviolette X-47 Launched in India at ₹2.49 Lakh

Bengaluru-based EV startup Ultraviolette Automotive has launched its new electric motorcycle, the X-47 Crossover, in India. The bike comes at an introductory price of ₹2.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 1,000 buyers. After that, the price will increase to ₹2.74 lakh.

The X-47 is designed for people who love performance, technology, and safety. It’s loaded with smart features that make riding both exciting and secure.

First Bike with Radar Technology

The X-47 is the world’s first production motorcycle to come with a built-in radar and camera system. Ultraviolette calls this setup the UV HyperSense system. It uses a 77 GHz radar and cameras to keep riders safe on the road.
Some of its key safety features are:

Blind-Spot Detection – warns you if a vehicle is in the lane next to you.

Lane Change Assist – helps when you shift lanes.

Overtake Alerts – lets you know if a fast vehicle is coming from behind.

Rear Collision Warning – alerts you if another vehicle is approaching quickly from the back.

These features are especially helpful in Indian traffic, where sudden lane changes and blind spots often lead to accidents.

Power and Range

The X-47 is powered by a 10.3 kWh battery paired with an electric motor that delivers 40 horsepower and a massive 610 Nm torque at the rear wheel.

  • Acceleration: 0–60 km/h in just 2.7 seconds.
  • Top Speed: 145 km/h.
  • Range: Up to 323 km on a full charge (IDC cycle).

This makes the bike suitable for both daily commutes in the city and long weekend rides.

Charging and Tech Features

Ultraviolette has added a lot of smart technology to make charging and riding easier:
Parallel Boost Charging – lets you use the onboard and external charger at the same time to reduce charging time.

  • Integrated Dashcam – records your rides for safety and memories.
  • 5-inch TFT Display – shows speed, navigation, and ride data.
  • Ride Modes – Glide, Combat, and Ballistic to suit different moods and riding styles.
  • Safety Systems – traction control (3 levels), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and dual-channel ABS for safe handling.

Design and Comfort

The X-47 has a crossover design, mixing the style of a street bike with the practicality of an adventure motorcycle.
Ground Clearance: 200 mm, good for Indian roads and small off-road rides.

  • Suspension: USD front forks and rear mono-shock for a smooth ride.
  • Brakes: Brembo brakes with Bosch dual-channel ABS for strong stopping power.
  • Wheels and Tyres: Designed for grip, balance, and stability.

The bike is both stylish and practical, making it comfortable for daily city use as well as rougher terrains.
